Welcome Cottage is a Grade II listed building in Canford, just outside Wimborne Minster, Dorset.
An Old Porch....
The original porch and fencing was very tired, having come to the end of it's life
Brainstorming ideas...
3D modelling software was used to work through ideas. The clients wanted to build something using traditional carpentry and oak framing techniques, which would be in keeping with the house and its surroundings.
The Frame is Built
All our frames are built by hand in our workshop - one job at a time.
The wooden Gothic arch in this picture was templated from the stone work in the original house.
